St. Luke's Scholarship
Each year St. Luke's Church, through its Scholarship Fund Committee, awards scholarships to student-members of St. Luke's Church who will be attending college or trade schools after their high school graduation. These scholarships are available throughout four years of higher education. Students pursuing graduate studies may also be considered for scholarship grants.
The Fund was established in 1988, and to date 156 scholarship grants have been awarded totaling $80,700.00. We are very proud of these numbers and look forward to contining to honor and reward the young adults in our congregation. St. Luke's Scholarship Fund is predominantly supported by the annual Spahetti and Clam Chowder Dinners and the summer Lobster Bake. These events, along with contributions from the church congregation, provide the funds for the scholarship grants.
The Scholarship Committee meets after the May21st deadline to review the student applications received, make their decisions based on continuous participation in chuch attendance and activities, and then present the scholarship grants at one of the 10AM services in June.
